On November 3, Higgsfield introduced Mangaka, a tool that develops an idea or an existing script into manga, comics, or a webtoon. Its workflow proposes a story plan, prepares the cast and world, then illustrates chapters. For image creators, the useful change is the move from an isolated picture to a sequence: the connection between panels matters as much as the appearance of any individual frame.

This article explains the published workflow and adds editorial recommendations for a first project. We reviewed the complete announcement and its original media, but did not run a generation. Mangaka belongs to Higgsfield; this coverage does not announce a Mangaka integration in VIZURAI.

Prepare the story before production

The source describes three starting points: a short idea, a PDF or DOCX script up to 25 MB, and a template adapted with Recreate. A character can also start from a photo, a name, and a description. Use scripts and reference images you have the necessary rights to upload.

Our hypothetical teaching example is a librarian who discovers a book that loses one city street every night. This is an invented brief, not a result we generated. Before production, decide who notices the disappearance, what the protagonist wants, and which question should remain at the chapter ending. Those decisions give you something concrete to check in the proposed outline.

Seven steps from a brief to an exported chapter

1. Choose the starting material

Open Mangaka from Higgsfield's top menu. Enter the conflict and protagonist in Describe your idea, or select Upload script for an existing screenplay. Our recommendation is to explain the story plainly first. Specifications for an attractive image cannot replace a character's motivation or a clear sequence of events.

2. Set the visual format and scope

The announcement lists black-and-white manga, color manga, comic, and webtoon styles, with 3:4, 9:16, and 2:3 pages. Projects support up to 30 chapters, with chapter-length options of 20, 30, or 40 pages. English and Russian are among the 14 languages listed. Choose for the intended reading experience: a vertical phone page and a conventional book page need different composition checks.

3. Decide how much to approve manually

Auto prepares the cast and chapters automatically. Manual lets you generate characters, locations, and props separately and check stages before moving forward. We recommend Manual for a first exploration because it creates an opportunity to catch a misunderstood design before producing a long sequence. This is editorial advice, not a measured comparison of the two modes.

4. Review the story plan

After Generate, Series written presents the plot, episodes, characters, locations, and props. Before Continue to cast, check cause and effect: why does the protagonist act, where does an important object come from, and what changes by the ending? In our example, the book should drive the conflict rather than merely decorate the library.

5. Approve the cast and world

Cast & World provides Characters, Locations, and Props tabs. Prepare assets individually or use Generate all cast, then Continue to production. Compare faces, clothing, silhouettes, recurring places, and important objects. The source says approved appearances are reused; that is a useful consistency mechanism, but subsequent pages still need visual review.

6. Read chapters and fix the smallest affected part

Chapters become readable as they finish, and generation can be paused or stopped. Individual panels can be redrawn, reframed, or have their text changed. Describe how to edit image handles page-level changes. When adding dialogue through Add bubble, use Apply lettering: the source explicitly notes that lettering must be applied for the bubble to appear on the page.

As an editorial check, follow the reading direction, dialogue order, and transition between neighboring panels. For a problem isolated to one frame, consider a local correction before rebuilding an entire chapter. We have not measured the time or credit savings of that approach.

7. Inspect the exported file

The source lists PDF, CBZ, PNG pages, and webtoon exports, plus publishing inside Higgsfield. Open the result in the reader or device you intend to use. Check page order, margins, small lettering, and phone readability. Reviewing an export separately can reveal issues that a large production-screen preview makes easy to overlook.

Cost, limits, and a practical next step

There is no universal price for a finished story. The November 3 announcement lists 4 credits per character, 4 per location, 30 for a 30-page chapter, and 1 per page edit. These are Higgsfield credits, not VIZURAI credits. Verify the displayed price before each action; the final cost depends on scope and revisions.

The Templates library offers Read for exploring a story and Recreate for adapting its characters, title, and other details. For an original project, assess the independence of the story as well as its appearance. A useful next step is a short brief and clear acceptance criteria for one chapter. The button below this article selects VIZURAI's image-generation direction while preserving the current prelaunch flow.
